In 1987, I graduated high school in New Jersey and had no idea what I wanted to do. So I attended the big state school relatively nearby, figuring that it would have a program for whatever course of study I eventually settled on. (I graduated with a music major and a computer science minor.)
In 1997, I was in California visiting Jessica, a dear friend from college. The year before, she had moved there from New Jersey, where she and I had both lived our entire lives until that point. She was being promoted at work and thought I would be a good person to take over her old job. She arranged an interview, I went on a lark, and I got the job. They moved me to San Francisco, and I’ve been there ever since.
In 2007, I was playing a Halloween show with my band, which performs excerpts of a meat-themed rock opera I have been writing and re-writing. You can read more about that night elsewhere on the site.
I can’t imagine anyone else I’d rather spend the rest of my life with than Humu.
